The Story Behind INSIGHT Robotic Inspections
INSIGHT started in a garage—or more accurately, under it.

While inspecting my crawlspace, I found myself wedged under a duct, fiberglass dust in the air, coughing the entire time. Thinking to myself: Why am I doing this? I crawled out and called a home inspector.

After paying for the inspection, I had a thought: What if an RC vehicle with a camera could do this instead? As a Mechanical Engineer with experience building drones and robotics, I knew I could design a better solution. And if I needed it, surely others did too.
​
I built a prototype and tested it in crawlspaces, refining its maneuverability, clearance, and camera system. The goal was clear: make crawlspace inspections safer, faster, and more efficient.

INSIGHT Robotic Inspections was born—to keep inspectors out of hazardous spaces and let technology do the crawling.
